Basketball Recap: Parker Lane's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Farragut over Roane County

Farragut suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Friday. They came up short against the Roane County Yellowjackets, falling 72-47. The Admirals were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Yellowjackets earlier this season, when they won 70-58.

Farragut's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Parker Lane, who posted 11 points. Aidan Foshie was another key player, putting up six points.

Malachi Brown had a dynamite game for Roane County, dropping a double-double with 13 points and 11 boards. That's the most rebounds Brown has posted since back in December of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden O'Leary, who went 7-for-14 on his way to 18 points and three steals.

Farragut dropped their record down to 17-12 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Roane County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 23-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Farragut nor Roane County have any future games scheduled.
