Baseball Recap: Morley Stanwood Takes a Loss

Morley Stanwood came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 13-3 to the Lakeview Wildcats. The Mohawks were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 6-5.

Morley Stanwood saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Quin Garrett, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Devin Garbow was another, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Morley Stanwood has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Lakeview, their win bumped their record up to 8-10.

While Morley Stanwood had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
