Football Recap: Perquimans Runs Past Northampton County + How To Watch

Perquimans lost to Northampton County back in November of 2016, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Pirates took down the Jaguars 25-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Pirates.

Ataviyon White was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 198 yards and one score while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. Those 198 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

White was just one part of a punishing run game: Perquimans was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 293 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northampton County only rushed for 174 rushing yards.

Perquimans' win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Northampton County, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Perquimans will venture away from home to face off against Pasquotank County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Northampton County, they will host Louisburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
