Baseball Recap: Dowagiac Takes a Loss

Dowagiac was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bridgman Bees. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bees this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-0 on Thursday.

Chase Frazier made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.

Dowagiac's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Bridgman, their victory was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-4.

Coincidentally, Dowagiac and Bridgman will both be playing Michigan Lutheran the next time they take the field. The Bees will head out to face the Titans at 4:15 p.m. on Monday, while the Chieftains will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
