Softball Game Preview: Robertson County Black Devils vs. Newport Wildcats

The Robertson County Black Devils will take on the Newport Wildcats at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Newport took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Robertson County, who comes in off a win.

Robertson County will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Augusta last Saturday. The Black Devils blew past the Panthers 14-4. The win was some much needed relief for the Black Devils as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Newport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They came up short against Highlands, falling 18-1. That's two games in a row now that the Wildcats have lost by exactly 17 runs.

Robertson County's victory bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Newport, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.
