Joe Featherstone posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Tuesday. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched. He was up against Hume-Fogg and has quite the history against that squad, as he also had a great game the last time he faced them back in April of 2024. Featherstone has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two hits in five consecutive appearances.

Featherstone's effort led Lawson over Hume-Fogg and he'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
