Baseball Recap: Wayne Valley Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Wayne Valley proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by ten) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They had just enough and edged out the Wayne Hills Patriots 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Indians, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The team relied heavily on Christian Sabino, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. Another player making a difference was Luis Lopez, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double.

Wayne Valley pushed their record up to 4-4 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.8 runs over those games. As for Wayne Hills, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-5.
