Volleyball Recap: Sedgwick County Cougars vs. Ascent Classical Academy Guardians
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Sedgwick County had no problem doing just that on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Ascent Classical Academy Guardians as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Cougars.
Lainee Nein paced Sedgwick County's offense, picking up 14 kills. Nein got some help from Addison Renquist and her 12 assists. Daryn Nein controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Sedgwick County's win bumped their record up to 19-6. As for Ascent Classical Academy, they moved to 22-3 with that defeat, which also ended their 17-match winning streak.
As of now, neither Sedgwick County nor the Guardians have any future games scheduled.
