Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Andrew Jackson Volunteers. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly five runs.

Central's loss dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Andrew Jackson, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 7-6.

Coming up, Central will head out to face off against Chesterfield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Andrew Jackson, they will challenge Parkwood at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Volunteers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Wolf Pack have averaged an impressive 7.5 runs per game this season.
