Recap: Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs vs. Meadville Eagles
Sadly, the Bucklin-Macon County Bulldogs are still looking for their first win of the season after four games. They took a 56-40 bruising from Meadville on Friday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Bucklin-Macon County of the 74-55 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2023.
It was another big night for Gauge Shiflett, who almost dropped a double-double on 25 points and nine rebounds for Meadville. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Shiflett has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Reece Meyers, who scored 12 points along with six assists and two steals.
Bucklin-Macon County's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Meadville, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-10.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Green City the next time they take the court. Meadville will host Green City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while Bucklin-Macon County will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
