Pendleton County's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They came out on top against the Paw Paw Pirates by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

The win didn't come easy: Paw Paw scored at least 20 points in every set. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-20, 25-27, 25-20.

Brynlyn Waggy paced Pendleton County's offense, picking up 13 kills. Waggy got some help from Carolyn Varner and her 16 assists. Tia Heavner controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Pendleton County is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. As for Paw Paw, their defeat ended a three-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-7.

Coming up, Pendleton County will head out to square off against Tygarts Valley at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Paw Paw, they will host Berkeley Springs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
