Volleyball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Hendersonville can now relate to. They fell just short of the Mount Airy Granite Bears by a score of 3-2 on Saturday. The Bearcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Hendersonville actually scored more points across those five sets (108-98), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 12-25, 26-24, 19-25, 25-20, 16-14.

Despite the loss, Hendersonville still got an impressive performance from Averie Russell, who had 36 digs. Russell is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least ten every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Alexa Ford, who had 14 digs.

Hendersonville's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Mount Airy, they moved to 10-13 with that win, which also ended their four-match losing streak.

Hendersonville does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Mount Airy, they are taking a road trip to face off against East Surry at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
