Baseball Recap: Del Norte Comes Up Short

Del Norte was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 11-1 to the West Mesa Mustangs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Mustangs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 22-3 back in March.

Del Norte saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dakari Morenike, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Del Norte's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for West Mesa, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-10.

Del Norte wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 13-0 loss against Albuquerque Academy on the 8th. As for West Mesa, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 6-3 defeat against Atrisco Heritage Academy on the 8th.
