Baseball Recap: North Sevier Takes a Loss

North Sevier fell victim to Gunnison Valley and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They lost 16-0 to the Gunnison Valley Bulldogs. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Wolves were not able to get on the board.

North Sevier saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Crowley, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Crowley is becoming a predictor of North Sevier's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).

North Sevier's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Gunnison Valley, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5.

Coming up, North Sevier will take on Milford in a tournament on Saturday. North Sevier has given up an average of 7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Gunnison Valley, they and Enterprise will meet in a dog eat dog contest at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
