Soccer Game Preview: Eastern Randolph vs. East Davidson

The Eastern Randolph Wildcats will head out to take on the East Davidson Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Eastern Randolph's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Eastern Randolph fell victim to Uwharrie Charter Academy and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They lost 9-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, Eastern Randolph can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 526th, while Uwharrie Charter Academy are ranked 169th).

Meanwhile, East Davidson had just enough and edged out Providence Grove 2-1 on Monday. The win made it back-to-back victories for East Davidson.

Lucrezia Romero and Crystal Reyna-Garcia scored both of East Davidson's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Eastern Randolph's defeat dropped their record down to 0-16-1. As for East Davidson, they now have a winning record of 9-8.

Eastern Randolph might still be hurting after the 7-0 loss they got from East Davidson when the teams last played back in March. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
