Sequoyah and Etowah are an even 4-4 against one another since April of 2015, but likely not for long. The Chiefs are taking a road trip to square off against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Sequoyah has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since February 11.

Last Tuesday, Sequoyah came up short against Lambert and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, Sequoyah can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 206th, while Lambert are ranked fourth).

Sequoyah's goal came courtesy of Kate Courchene, which was the first she's scored this season.

Meanwhile, Etowah kept a clean sheet against Forsyth Central on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 1-0. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Etowah were the better team in the second half.

Sequoyah's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Etowah, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-8-1.
