Basketball Preview: Nokomis Redskins vs. Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers
The Nokomis Redskins and the Greenfield/Northwestern Tigers will round out the year against one another at at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Nokomis has three straight victories, Greenfield/Northwestern has five straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
Last Friday, Nokomis humbled Mt. Olive with a 59-32 victory. The Redskins have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 26 points or more this season.

Nokomis found their leader in sophomore Alivia Sabol, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sabol has scored all season. Lizzy Hill was another key player, going 6 for 7 on her way to 13 points.
Meanwhile, Greenfield/Northwestern was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Tuesday as they fell 40-35 to Lincolnwood.
Nokomis pushed their record up to 11-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Greenfield/Northwestern, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-8.
