Volleyball Recap: Gates Chili Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Webster Schroeder

Gates Chili faced Webster Schroeder in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Spartans fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Spartans of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Gates Chili and nudges their season record down to 2-4. As for Webster Schroeder, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-2.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Gates Chili will take on rival Irondequoit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder is set to face off against their familiar foe Brighton at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
