Recap: Childress Bobcats vs. Pampa Harvesters
The Childress Bobcats's 21-6 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 44-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pampa. While losing is never fun, Childress can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 705th, while Pampa is ranked 113th).
Several Bobcats players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Emma Jalomo, who scored six points along with seven rebounds. Sophie Stephens was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
This is the second loss in a row for Childress and nudges their season record down to 5-11. As for Pampa, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.
Childress will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Varsity Opponent at 7:15 p.m. Varsity Opponent will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. Pampa won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Vernon at 9:15 a.m. on December 8th.
