Whitko entered their tilt with Southwood on Saturday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They enjoyed a cozy 52-33 victory over the Southwood Knights. The Wildcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

Whitko's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Reese Stonebraker, who posted 11 points in addition to eight steals and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Stonebraker a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ally Brown, who went 6 for 11 on her way to 13 points and six rebounds.

Whitko was working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southwood only racked up six assists.

Southwood's loss came despite strong showings from Adi Deaton and Ella Chambers. Deaton put up seven points and five boards, while Chambers earned no points.

Whitko is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Southwood, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.

Whitko has already played their next contest (against Fort Wayne Wayne), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Southwood will venture away from home to challenge Maconaquah at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
