Soccer Recap: Riverdale Takes a Loss

Riverdale lost against Lindsay back in December of 2017 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Riverdale Cowboys lost 4-1 to the Lindsay Cardinals. While losing is never fun, the Cowboys can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 209th, while the Cardinals are ranked 12th).

Riverdale's goal came courtesy of Javier Duarte, who's now up to seven this season.

Riverdale's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Lindsay, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0-1.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Coalinga on the 13th. As for Lindsay, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 1-0 defeat against Bullard on the 13th.
