Volleyball Recap: Riverdale's Victory on Saturday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Riverdale entered their tilt with Harpeth on Saturday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Indians by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Warriors: when they faced off against the Indians on Friday, they had to take a 2-1 defeat.

Riverdale not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Harpeth between 18 and 20 points across their sets. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-18.

Riverdale can attribute much of their success to Bre Putnam, who had 13 digs and two aces. That's the most digs Putnam has posted over her last five games.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 13-17. As for Harpeth, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-7.

Riverdale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Hume-Fogg on the 20th. As for Harpeth, they will head out to square off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
