Softball Recap: Jasper Takes a Loss

Jasper was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Bears, falling 9-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 back in March.

Jasper's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13-2. As for Little Cypress-Mauriceville, the victory was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-4-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Jasper is set to take on their familiar foe West Orange-Stark at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Little Cypress-Mauriceville will square off against rival Bridge City at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
