Volleyball Game Preview: Liberty Bison vs. Valley View Eagles

The Liberty Bison will challenge the Valley View Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Liberty is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Paloma Valley just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 3-1 to the Wildcats.

Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Valley View's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Paloma Valley. While the Eagles didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Wildcats 25-13 in the first set.

Valley View started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 13-25, 25-13, 25-22, 25-21.

Liberty's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 22-10. As for Valley View, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Everything went Liberty's way against Valley View when the teams last played back in March, as Liberty made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bison since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
