Basketball Recap: Eldorado Comes Up Short

Eldorado was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 12th straight defeat. They took a blow against the Hamilton County Foxes, falling 78-18. The Eagles were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-4.

Rayci Phelps continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hamilton County, almost dropping a double-double on 28 points and nine rebounds. Phelps' evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Kylah Parkhill was another key player, putting up nine points and four steals.

Eldorado's loss dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Hamilton County, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-10.

Eldorado will head out to square off against Murphysboro at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Hamilton County, they will challenge Frankfort at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hamilton County knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Frankfort likes a good challenge.
