Merrill lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Medford, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's contest. The Bluejays' pitchers stepped up to hand the Raiders a 7-0 shutout on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Bluejays, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Merrill has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Medford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-10.

Coming up, Medford will square off against Rib Lake at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Merrill will be paying especially close attention to the Raiders' contest: after the Raiders face off against the Redmen, they'll take on Merrill again at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
