Providence Catholic waltzed into their contest on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Marian Catholic Spartans by a score of 2-0. That's more bragging rights for the Celtics, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Abbey Knight paced Providence Catholic's offense, picking up 14 kills. Knight got some help from Delaney Purtill and her 13 assists. Knight also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Johnson, racking up two apiece.

Providence Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Marian Catholic, with the loss, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 3-2.

Providence Catholic has already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Lincoln-Way West on the 2nd. As for Marian Catholic, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 victory against De La Salle on the 3rd.
