Football Recap: Pella Christian Takes a Loss

Pella Christian and Prairie City-Monroe squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Pella Christian had to settle for second. They received a blow as they fell 45-31 to the Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Iowa football rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Mustangs are ranked 35th).

Pella Christian's defeat was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Prairie City-Monroe, the win (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.

Pella Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Prairie City-Monroe, they will face off against Wilton on Friday.
