Preview: Jefferson Democrats vs. Santee Falcons

Jefferson is 8-2 against Santee since February of 2018, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Jefferson Democrats will play host again and welcome the Santee Falcons, where tip off is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Jefferson suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Wednesday. They were dealt a 107-27 loss at the hands of Manual Arts. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Jefferson in their matchups with Manual Arts: they've now lost seven in a row.

Meanwhile, Santee's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. Their rough 64-44 defeat to Los Angeles might stick with them for a while.

The losing side was boosted by Emiliano Chavez, who scored 15 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. Israel Snowden was another key contributor, scoring eight points.

Jefferson dropped their record down to 0-11 with that defeat, which was their sixth straight at home. As for Santee, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.

Jefferson came up short against Santee in their previous matchup on January 10th, falling 53-41. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Santee's Darnell Miller, who scored 25 points. Now that Jefferson knows the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time?
