Baseball Recap: Clay County Christian Academy Starts off Right with Win over Victory Christian Academy

Clay County Christian Academy took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Monday. They had just enough and edged out Victory Christian Academy 9-7.

Clay County Christian Academy's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Connor Sims, who got on base in four of his six plate appearances with one home run and one double.

Clay County Christian Academy was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .406. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Victory Christian Academy only posted a batting average of .160.

Clay County Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 14-1 loss against Hope Christian Academy on the 1st. As for Victory Christian Academy, they have also already played their next contest, an 8-1 win against Southern Prep Academy on the 28th.
