Recap: Aynor Blue Jackets vs. Georgetown Bulldogs
The Aynor Blue Jackets's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their ninth straight loss. They were outmatched by Georgetown at home and fell 68-39. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Aynor has suffered yet this season.
Aynor lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jamarion Mitchel, who scored nine points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Austin Tanyika, who scored ten points along with two blocks.
Georgetown got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jari Ford out in front who scored 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ean Mitchell, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Aynor has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for Georgetown, their victory bumped their record up to 8-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Aynor will take on Loris at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Georgetown won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Manning at 12:00 p.m. on January 20th.
