 Mamaroneck couldn't quite beat Scarsdale on Monday, but the two-run margin was a huge improvement compared to the seven-run  loss they were dealt  last Thursday. The Mamaroneck Tigers fell just short of the Scarsdale Raiders by a score of  4-2. Mamaroneck was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Scarsdale apparently hadn't forgotten their  defeat the last time these teams played  back in May of 2023.
  Cooper Berenblat was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  tossed six innings while giving up just two earned  (and one unearned) runs off   six  hits.
 On the hitting side, Mamaroneck saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Justin Sheeky, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.
 This is  the second loss in a row for Mamaroneck and  nudges their season record down to 9-7-1. As for Scarsdale, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.
 Mamaroneck will challenge North Rockland at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Mamaroneck and North Rockland are at an even 3-3 over their past six head-to-heads. As for Scarsdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mamaroneck at 12:00  p.m.  on Wednesday.
