Basketball Game Preview: Bertrand Vikings vs. Pleasanton Bulldogs

The Bertrand Vikings will take on the Pleasanton Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasanton took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Bertrand, who comes in off a win.

Last Friday, Bertrand beat Axtell 49-42.

Bertrand's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Thunder Nelson led the charge by putting up 15 points and six boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Marshall Steinbrink, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

Meanwhile, Pleasanton suffered their biggest loss since January 30th on Tuesday. They came up short against Shelton, falling 66-41. Pleasanton has struggled against Shelton recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Having lost for the first time this season, Pleasanton fell to 2-1. As for Bertrand, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Everything came up roses for Bertrand against Pleasanton when the teams last played back in February of 2017, as the squad secured a 65-33 win. In that contest, Bertrand amassed a halftime lead of 38-17, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
