Baseball Recap: Lee Central Takes a Loss

After flying high against Crestwood last Wednesday, Lee Central came back down to earth. The Stallions lost 24-8 to the Lamar Silver Foxes on Tuesday.

Juju Davis was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing four bases while going 1-for-3. He is becoming a predictor of Lee Central's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 4-1 (and 2-6 when he doesn't). DJ Smith was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-1.

Lee Central has been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-7 record this season. As for Lamar, they moved to 7-6 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.

While Lee Central had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
