Richwoods and Centennial are an even 5-5 against one another since April of 2018, but likely not for long. The Knights will head out to take on the Chargers at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Richwoods is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.

Normal Community hit Richwoods with a eight-run fifth inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Knights lost 12-1 to the Ironmen.

Meanwhile, Centennial came up short against Champaign Central on Wednesday, falling 15-3.

Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kam Murphy, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Centennial dropped their record down to 8-11 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Richwoods, their loss dropped their record down to 12-9.

Everything went Richwoods' way against Centennial when the teams last played back in April of 2024, as Richwoods made off with a 10-0 win. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Chargers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
