Dakota has gone a perfect 10-0 against Utica Eisenhower recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Cougars will look to defend their home field against the Eagles at 4:30 p.m. Utica Eisenhower took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Dakota, who comes in off a win.

Dakota barely beat Algonac the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cougars were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Muskrats on Tuesday.

Brooke Cahill looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Jenna Higgins and Gianna Mangone did most of the damage at the plate: Higgins scored three runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4, while Mangone scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Annika Sylver, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Utica Eisenhower had to start their season on the road on Tuesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They fell just short of Fraser by a score of 6-5. Sadly, the loss continues a streak the team started last season, making it five in a row.

Dakota beat Utica Eisenhower 5-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Eagles turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
