Football Recap: Wisdom Generals vs. Cesar E. Chavez Lobos
A win for Wisdom just wasn't in the cards on Friday as the team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They were beaten by the Cesar E. Chavez Lobos 47-20. The Generals have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
A big part of Cesar E. Chavez's victory came down to the chemistry between Chris Cabrero and his top target Johntta Thomas. Cabrero threw for 347 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt while Thomas picked up 176 receiving yards and four touchdowns. Thomas showed off some serious burst, cutting upfield on a catch for 57 yards. D'Mariye Garrett also helped out as he racked up 115 receiving yards.
Wisdom's loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Cesar E. Chavez, their record is now 2-8.
As of now, neither Wisdom nor Cesar E. Chavez have any future games scheduled.
