Softball Recap: Thorsby Extends Home Winning Streak to Five

Thorsby got themselves on the board against Isabella on Thursday, but Isabella never followed suit. They were the clear victor by a 10-0 margin over the Isabella Mustangs. The Rebels haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Brooklyn Reeser was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over six innings pitched. Furthermore, she didn't allow a single earned run, the first time she has blanked an opponent since back in March of 2024. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Allie Reeser, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3. That stolen base was her first of the season. Gracie Hughins was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

Thorsby always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .543. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.

Thorsby's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Isabella, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Thorsby will take on Victory Christian in a tournament on Saturday. As for Isabella, they will take on Thorsby at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
