Baseball Recap: Cleveland Wins Going Away Against Walker Valley

Cleveland made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Walker Valley, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Blue Raiders were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Mustangs on Wednesday. Considering the Blue Raiders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Owen Goglio was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonas Ernest, who scored a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Cleveland's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-7. As for Walker Valley, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Cleveland will have a chance to go back-to-back against Walker Valley: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
