Football Recap: Bigelow Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Bigelow duked it out with Mount Ida on Friday. The Panthers had to suffer through a 51-13 loss at the hands of the Lions. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-6.

This is the second loss in a row for Bigelow and nudges their season record down to 2-6. As for Mount Ida, their win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Looking ahead, Bigelow will head out to face off against Westside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers will be up against the Rebels' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Mount Ida, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mountainburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dragons will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last.
