Basketball Game Preview: Dodson Coyotes vs. Harlem Wildcats

The Dodson Coyotes are taking a road trip to square off against the Harlem Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Dodson's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three matches, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Dodson is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Saco/Whitewater/Hinsdale on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Dodson was outmatched by Saco/Whitewater/Hinsdale and fell 56-12. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-4.

Precious Stiffarm was Dodson's leading scorer, having posted seven points.

Meanwhile, Harlem was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by Malta 79-43. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Montana basketball rankings (they are ranked 134th, while the Mustangs are ranked 27th).

Dodson's defeat dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Harlem, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8.

Dodson took a serious blow against Harlem in their previous matchup on January 9th, falling 63-29. Can Dodson avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
