Basketball Game Preview: Mount Vernon Bulldogs vs. Sedro-Woolley Cubs

The Mount Vernon Bulldogs will head out to face off against the Sedro-Woolley Cubs at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Last Monday, Mount Vernon had to suffer through a 68-32 loss at the hands of Squalicum. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Storm recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Sedro-Woolley came up short against Ferndale on Wednesday, falling 53-31.

Mount Vernon's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Sedro-Woolley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-6.

Mount Vernon strolled past Sedro-Woolley when the teams last played back in January of 2024 by a score of 47-33. The rematch might be a little tougher for Mount Vernon since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
