Baseball Recap: Harriman Drops Season-High Score on Rockwood

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Harriman). They blew past the Rockwood Tigers 20-1 on Wednesday. The Blue Devils have beaten the Tigers the last seven times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Landon Jackson made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Harriman's success: when he allows at most two earned runs the team is 2-1 (and 2-10 when he doesn't). Jackson was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Aiden Oliver was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Lane Taylor, who scored three runs while going 2-for-2.

Harriman always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .871. The last time their OBP was this high was was before the start of last season.

Harriman's record is now 4-11. As for Rockwood, they dropped their record down to 0-13 with the defeat, which was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Harriman will challenge Meigs County at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Rockwood, they will face off against Midway at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
