Volleyball Recap: Palatine's Winning Streak Snapped at Four Games

It was a good run, but Palatine unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Wednesday. They fell 2-0 to the Schaumburg Saxons. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Saxons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Palatine may have fallen short, but they were sure consistent: they scored 17 points in every single set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-17.

Palatine's loss dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Schaumburg, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Palatine will head out to take on Lake Zurich at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Schaumburg, they will be playing at home against Bartlett at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
