Baseball Recap: Glenbrook South Titans vs. New Trier Trevians

Glenbrook South had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 8-14 to make it four. They fell just short of the New Trier Trevians by a score of 4-3. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Trevians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-3 on Monday.

Jack Valentinas was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. What's more, he gave up only zero walks, the fewest he's had over his last four matches.

At the plate, Trey Ryno was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. Anthony Nottage was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
