For the first time this season, Grossmont will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Valhalla Norsemen at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Grossmont will be strutting in after a victory while Valhalla will be coming in after a loss.

Grossmont is headed into the matchup after thoroughly thrashing Mira Mesa: they outscored them in every quarter. The Foothillers put the hurt on the Marauders with a sharp 36-13 win on Friday. Grossmont's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Valhalla, their loss dropped their record down to 1-4.

Everything came up roses for Grossmont against Valhalla in their previous matchup back in October of 2019, as the team secured a 49-14 win. In that matchup, the Foothillers amassed a halftime lead of 35-7, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
