Recap: Marlow Outlaws vs. Plainview Indians
The Marlow Outlaws were the 40-7 winner over the Plainview Indians when they last played one another back in October of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Marlow fell just short of Plainview by a score of 24-21. Marlow has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Plainview's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Flowers led the charge by rushing for 34 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 205 yards and a touchdown while completing 74.1% of his passes. Plainview also got help from Shepherd Sisemore who showed off his sure hands for 88 receiving yards.
Marlow's loss dropped their record down to 8-3. As for Plainview, they now have a winning record of 5-4.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Marlow will face off against Heritage Hall at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Heritage Hall's favor is that they have now posted big point totals every time they've taken the field this season. As for Plainview, they will head out on the road to face off against Sulphur at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sulphur will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
