Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Grace Hackl and Sydney Neilitz Lead Xavier to Victory

Xavier had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Little Chute Mustangs by a score of 2-0 on Tuesday. The Hawks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Mustangs, too.

Xavier was led to victory by Sydney Neilitz and Grace Hackl. Neilitz had five aces and three digs, while Hackl had four digs and two aces. That's the most aces Neilitz has posted since back in October of 2024.

They weren't the only good server: Xavier was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in seven consecutive matchups dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Xavier and Little Chute will both be playing Chilton the next time they take the court. The Mustangs will head out to face the Tigers at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 4:00 p.m.
