St. Francis waltzed into their match on Saturday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They managed a 64-59 victory over the Williamsville East Flames. While the Red Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-16), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

St. Francis' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Henry Bickerstaff, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 12 points and six rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Bickerstaff a new career-high in assists (four). Sal Giardina was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

St. Francis pushed their record up to 5-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.5 points per game. As for Williamsville East, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

St. Francis will square off against Syracuse Academy of Science at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Williamsville East, they will face off against Amherst Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Amherst Central's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season.
