Baseball Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Quitman Bulldogs

For the second straight game, Eustace will face off against Quitman. We've got a battle between Bulldogs coming up. Eustace has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 1st.

On Tuesday, Eustace came up short against Quitman and fell 5-2.

For Quitman's part, Davis Watson made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off four hits. Watson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Colton Barkdull, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.

The win made it two in a row for Quitman and bumps their season record up to 5-13-1. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Eustace, their loss dropped their record down to 3-12-1.
